Martha Stewart

I always like watching channels such as Fine Living, HGTV, Food, Travel, etc, however, I never like her that much, she does look tough when she does not smile.

Tonight, I happened to see her on TV teaching how to plant basils and Rosemary Pot at home, i am surprised to see her still in such a great mood despite all the media frenzy. It makes me think, no matter what, there must be something stronger in her and that might be a rare trait.

I do like the spice pots she made. Maybe I should make one after I come back from Alaska

Baseball Game

Still not quite sure that I understand the rules. Tonight's game is not bad, everyone get excited except me, furthermore, the Nacho is not crispy in the ball park...

Soooooooooo beautiful this pic! Fri 18-Jun-2004 06:01

1) Oakland A's and STL Cards are the two teams who won the most World Series except the damn Yankees. Both have great histories and both are good teams year in and year out.
2) Cardinals manager Tony La Russa managed A's during late 80's, when they dominated baseball. His coaching career is a legendary story by its own.
3) The opposing starting pitcher, Tim Hudson, is one of the best in the business.
4) Cards won from back in the end.
5) A's had a 18-0 record against all NL Central teams. Of course, they were swepted by STL this time and its record stands at 18-3 now.

Can't help myself today

Mac, I like to see people are so passionate about the sports they like.

I like Soccer more, such a pity that ESPN does not show European Cup here.

Will miss the wine tasting...

This month, Wine Club samples wines from two areas of
the U.S. that are experiencing growth in the wine industry, the
Northeast (New York State) and the Northwest (Oregon and Washington
State). And we'll be experiencing all this in a location that has
one of the best views of the entire City...

Got all excited to taste wine in one of glass building overlooking the forest park, and a minute later, realized that I will be in Boston that day

IHOP, Hawn State Park and Taste of Clayton

A nice Sunday Morning, head toward the IHOP near where I live. Am surprised at the long lines forming up in front of the blue-roof house. I am not a big fan of American Breakfast, sausage, bacon and three-egg omolettes are not my cup of tea. However, the blue-roof place seems so inviting this morning I end up waiting in line and finally sit down to have a hearty brunch, Eggs are still egges, but the swedish pancakes are not bad.

After that, Hike about 7miles in the Hawn State Park, the first one mile is more scenic than the rest of the hike, creeks, lilies and rocks are there. The next 6 miles are mainly walking in the Pine tree woods with several hill stop overlooking the valley. The best part is the area is so quite and natural, we did not see other hikers for the most part of hike trip, only encountered one couple near the end of 7 miles.

Taste of Clayton in Shawn Park is a bit of disappointment. Maybe it is because we went late, most of food stands are cleaning up and ready to leave. We only got a 5 bucks hot dog and 4 buck cheesecakes and some drinks in the end, lots of peaple are there, walking and smiling and live music, it seems nobody is too serious about the food, maybe that is whole point of a mass gethering in a summer night.

My camera is out of power the minute I try to shoot the first photo in the day, so no photos.

School finished for my friends

Went to a party to celebrate the graduation of Olin MBA 04 class. Talking to them reminds me my graduation days two years ago. Standing on the crossroad, trying hard to figure out where to make the next stop. Full of confusion, and anticipation too. Lots of challenges are still ahead, but at this sunny Saturaday afternoon, life is good, food is sizzelling, cake is creamy, somebody is making birthday wishes, and others are playing and chatting in the back yard.
